Frank
Wood
Frank
Wood began his business life as a chartered accountant
in public practice. After 14 years in accounting,
he then transferred to the world of education, lecturing
in several different colleges on full-time basis
for 15 years. He then left education to concentrate
on his work as an author, combining this with the
chairmanship of two companies in the educational
media field. He has been Chief Examiner for several
examining bodies with interests spread around the
world.
He has made a major contribution to business education
in HK, the UK and many countries in the world. His
books have sold several million copies and hundreds
of thousands of students have used his books.

Professor
Alan Sangster
Alan Sangster, BA (Business Studies), MSc (Operational
Research), Cert TESOL, CA, is Professor of Accounting
and Head of Department at the Open University Business
School. Previously he worked in professional practice,
local government and industry, before entering education.
He has lectured in accountancy at Glasgow Caledonian
University and at the Universities of Strathclyde
and Aberdeen in Scotland, and was then appointed
Professor of Accountancy at the Queen's University
of Belfast from where he moved to his current position.
Alan has written over 50 academic papers, and a
number of books, and is co-author with Frank Wood
of Business Accounting and A-Level Accounting.

Richard
C K Yau
Mr.
Richard C K Yau (邱在光會計師),
the founder of the Hong Kong School of Commerce
(香港商業專科學校)
in 1959, is a Certified Practising Accountant
in Australia. He has dedicated much of his time
to the promotion and development of accountancy
education in Hong Kong. His achievement in the
field of education has been recognised by many
other qualified accountants and professional institutions
in Hong Kong and overseas.
As
a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of
Certified Public Accountants (香港會計師公會)
and the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (香港稅務學會),
Mr. Yau is the founder chairman of the Association
of International Accountants (國際會計師公會),
Hong Kong Branch and was awarded with HonFAIA.
He has made a significant contribution to the
Hong Kong edition of Business Accounting 1 and
2 by using his extensive practical experience
and professional knowledge both in public practice
and in teaching.
Mr.
Yau is a co-author of Chinese Accounting for HKCE
Exam (香港中學會考).
He also wrote Book-keeping and Accounts-Chinese
and English version (published by the HKAAT 香港專業會計員協會)
together with his daughter Ms. Lindy W W Yau.

Lindy
W W Yau
Lindy
Yau Wan Wah was admitted as a member of the Association
of Chartered Certified Accountants (公認會計師公會)
in 1978. As a practising accountant in Hong Kong
in 1979, she is also a fellow member of the Taxation
Institute of Hong Kong (香港稅務學會),
the Society of Chinese Accountants and Auditors
(華人會計師公會)
and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (香港會計師公會).
At present, she is the Principal of the Hong Kong
School of Commerce (香港商業專科學校),
where she has spent more than two decades in the
field of accounting education and teaching. Ms.
Yau currently serves as a member of the management
committee at Shau Kei Wan East Government Secondary
School and is a member of the promotions and publication
committee.
She
maintains a close liaison with many professional
bodies in Hong Kong and overseas so as to keep
abreast of current developments in accountancy
and in the field of education. With her dedication
to accounting, she is a co-author of Frank Wood's
Business Accounting.
Ms.
Yau is also in public practice as a Certified
Public Accountant in Hong Kong. She is the co-author
of the following publications: (1) Frank Wood's
Principles of Accounts for Hong Kong Vol. 1 and
2, (2) Book-keeping and Accounts-Chinese and English
versions (published by the HKAAT), (3) the LCCI
Third Level Accounting Exam Practice (published
by Longman) and (4) Computerised Accounts (published
by the HKAAT).

Joseph
Y K Yau
Mr.
Joseph Y K Yau (邱賢君會計師)
obtained the BCom from the University of British
Columbia in 1982 and CA from Canadian Institute
of Chartered Accountant (加拿大特許會計師公會)
in 1985. He then began his public practice as
Certified Public Accountant in Hong Kong in 1986
and is now the managing partner of C K Yau &
Company, CPA (Hong Kong) (邱在光會計師行).
During these years, he has obtained many other
recognised professional designations from the
UK, USA, Canada and Hong Kong.
He
is one of the founders of the Certified Management
Accountants, Society of British Columbia, Canada-Hong
Kong Branch, past chairman of the Society of Chinese
Accountants and Auditors (SCAA) (香港華人會計師公會),
and the Hong Kong Association of Accounting Technicians
(HKAAT) (香港專業會計員協會)
from which he was awarded with HonHKAT. He is
currently serving as a council member of the SCAA,
the HKAAT and the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong
(香港稅務學會)
and a member of the Accountancy Training Board
of the Vocational Training Council (職業訓練局會計業訓練委員會).
He is also appointed as a regional advisor by
the International Bank of Asia Limited.
