Yau Wan Wah
Lindy
Yau Wan Wah was admitted as a member of the Association
of Chartered Certified Accountants (公認會計師公會)
in 1978. As a practising accountant in Hong Kong in
1979, she is also a fellow member of the Taxation Institute
of Hong Kong (香港稅務學會),
the Society of Chinese Accountants and Auditors (華人會計師公會)
and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants
(香港會計師公會). At
present, she is the Principal of the Hong Kong School
of Commerce (香港商業專科學校),
where she has spent more than two decades in the field
of accounting education and teaching. Ms. Yau currently
serves as a member of the management committee at Shau
Kei Wan East Government Secondary School and is a member
of the promotions and publication committee.
She maintains
a close liaison with many professional bodies in Hong
Kong and overseas so as to keep abreast of current developments
in accountancy and in the field of education. With her
dedication to accounting, she is a co-author of Frank
Wood's Principles of Accounts for Hong Kong Vol. 1 and
2.
Ms. Yau
is also in public practice as a Certified Public Accountant
in Hong Kong. She is the co-author of the following
publications: (1) Frank Wood's Business Accounting,
(2) Book-keeping and Accounts-Chinese and English versions
(published by the HKAAT), (3) the LCCI Third Level Accounting
Exam Practice (published by Longman) and (4) Computerised
Accounts (published by the HKAAT).
